MOZAMBIQUE SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The Government of Mozambique, through the National Fund for Sustainable Development funded by the International Development Association of the World Bank, entrusted the Consortium TPF, led by TPF Planege Cenor in partnership with TPF Moçambique and Biodesign, with the preparation of Mozambique Spatial Development Plan.
With an intervention area that corresponds to the national territory (801 590 km²), this important plan represents the main strategic spatial planning instrument, defining and establishing general perspectives and guidelines that will guide the use of the entire national territory and the priorities for multisectoral interventions at national level.
The studies include the development of decision support tools, such as a geographic information system, an information platform, and a Strategic Environmental Assessment, as well as training and institutional strengthening actions.
This contract, with an estimated duration of 18 months, will contribute for the sustainable development of the national territory, counting with the interventions of all the agents involved in the Mining, Agricultural and Forestry, Transport and Communication, Industry, Environment, Tourism, Energy, Water, Fisheries, Health, Teaching and Education sectors, among others.
SEVERAL DESIGNS OF ALTO TÂMEGA HYDROPOWER COMPLEX, PORTUGAL
IBERDROLA is developing Alto Tâmega Hydropower Complex, one of the biggest hydropower projects carried out in Europe over the past 25 years. For an expected investment of 1.200 million euros, where the highest investment will be in the period between 2018-2020, the complex will count with an installed capacity of 1.200 MW, reaching an annual production of 1.800 GWh.
In this wide range of works, TPF Planege Cenor has severeal on-going contracts, namely the Final Design of the Hydropower Scheme Roads and Accesses.
The studies aim to carry out the final designs of several accesses, roads and engineering structures, which are going to be affected by the implementation of infrastructures and reservoir creation that integrate the Hydropower Complex, which is composed of the Hydropower Schemes of Gouvães, Alto Tâmega and Daivões, located on the Tâmega River Basin.
The studies include, in addition to the execution of several Final Designs and Licensing, the preparation of tender procedures and public procurement and the technical assistance to construction works.
Contracts have recently been signed for the Review of Internal Emergency Plans for Daivões and Alto do Tâmega Dams, the Simplified Internal Emergency Plans of Gouvães, and the preparation of the Final Design for the Control Building of “Alto Tâmega Generation System” located in Gouvães Hydroelectric Plant.
PROJECTS FOR DILI URBAN DRAINAGE, EAST TIMOR
TPF Planege Cenor, in partnership with its subsidiary of East Timor, is developing Dili Urban Drainage Final Designs resulting from the implementation of Dili Drainage Masterplan.
These studies are part of Dili’s Sanitation and Drainage priority works defined in the designs prepared within the framework of the Masterplan, in 2014 and 2015, where were defined the necessary interventions in the Dili’s drainage network, and which include in addition to the stream-flow regulation of the rivers Maloa, Kuluhun, Santana, Bemori and Becora, the resettlement of the affected populations, several interventions in the drainage network, the construction of new bridges and of a structure for sea discharge.
The studies, promoted by the National Directorate for Water Services of East Timor, will be developed in partnership among national and local teams for the estimated period of 9 months.
WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM TO TCHINDJENJE TOWN, ANGOLA
In the scope of the contract convened with MINEA (Ministry of Energy and Water) of the Republic of Angola, through the DNA (National Directorate for Water), are currently underway the Design Review and the Supervision of Works for the “Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Water Supply System to Tchindjenje Town” in the Huambo province.
The works, integrated in a Chinese credit line, are estimated to last 48 months, including 36 months intended for the operations control and system functionality.
EXPANSION OF THE SUBWAY NETWORK OF THE CITY OF ALGIERS
TPF Planege Cenor, in Consortium, is developing the Final Designs of two sections of the subway network of the city of Algiers, with a total value of 7.8 million euros, through a contract with the Entreprise Metro d'Alger (EMA), entity responsible for operating the subway network of the capital.
The first design, called Extension E: El Harrach - Airport will allow you to complete the emblematic metropolitan connection between the city centre and its airport. Our mission includes developing the final design of all the civil works of a tunnel 9 km in length, to be constructed with the use of a tunnelling machine, and of 9 stations and 10 ventilation shafts. The overall duration of the contract is 60 months.
The second design, Extension F: Ain Naadja - Baraki, will allow the connection to the railway network at Gue de Constantine and at the future intermodal station. Our mission includes developing the final design of all the civil works of a tunnel 1.6 km in length, constructed by the traditional method, and of a ventilation shafts. The overall duration of the contract is 34 months.
SIDI BEL ABBÈS RAILWAY STATION, ALGERIA
The studies comprise the Preliminary Study and the Detailed Design of Architecture and of different engineering disciplines of the Sidi Bel Abbès railway station with a construction area of 8455 m2.
The building is made up of two floors, the first one designed for loading and unloading platforms for passengers, and public areas such as ticket offices, cafe, lobby and other spaces with public assistance functions. The personnel and administration areas are located on the second floor. Above these is the connecting bridge between the passenger platforms.
Located on the new double railway line of Oued - Tlelat/Tlemcen, this station allows the intermodal connection to be established by its proximity to the tramway station, as well as its location in the area surrounding the bus stops and the car park, inserted in the studies of External Arrangements under this contract.
PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT AND STRENGTHENING ON THE HIGHWAY A6 IN PORTUGAL
TPF Planege Cenor is developing for BGI – Brisa Gestâo de Infraestruturas S.A. the Preliminary and Final Designs for the Pavement Improvement and Strengthening in the sections of Elvas Central / Elvas Nascente / Caia on the Highway A6, including the Interchanges of Elvas Central, Elvas Nascente, and Caia integrated in the concession.
The project, with a length of 11 km, involves the disciplines of Geometric Design of Roads, Geological and Geotechnical Framework, Paving, Drainage, Guard Rails, Signalling and Telecommunications.
With an estimated duration of 5 months, the studies will be developed in order to find solutions of pavement improvement / strengthening in the form best suited to the existing work and its maintenance and in advantageous technical-economic conditions.
MUDA RESERVE, PORTUGAL
TPF Planege Cenor has started the Supervision and Safety Coordination of the Urbanistic Infrastructures’ Networks for Muda Village - Rural and Urban Zones.
The Muda Reserve real estate investment, under the responsibility of Vanguard Properties group, is budgeted at 200 Million Euros and will boost Muda Village, located in the municipality of Grândola, with a plan to build 200 dwellings of different types, with commerce, sports and services’ areas.
The cornerstone laying ceremony of this investment occurred on November 9, 2017.
HYDROPOWER PLANT IN NDANU FALLS, KENYA
In Kenya, TPF Planege Cenor was entrusted with the preparation of studies for the Hydropower Plant in Ndanu Falls, located in river Yala, near the city of Kisumu.
With an estimated power of 10 MW, this plant will consist of a medium hydropower plant composed of a dam with floodgates, water intake composed of a headrace tunnel, forebay and penstocks, hydroelectric power plant and tailrace tunnel.
Our teams are responsible for carrying out hydrological and hydraulic studies and for the pre-designing of works in order to verify the technical and economic feasibility of the hydropower.
ECO PROJECTS IN ISTANBUL, TURKEY
TPF Planege Cenor is developping for the IBB - Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) the Preliminary Designs of two ECOVILLAGES, a solar parking lot and a urban park in Istanbul.
The studies involve a multidisciplinary team of Portuguese and Turkish architects and engineers, eco-friendly principles of design and construction techniques are being implemented.
NEW PORT PROJECTS IN MADEIRA, PORTUGAL
The Harbour Administration for the Autonomous Region of Madeira entrusted TPF Planege Cenor with the Final Designs for the rehabilitation and repair of the port infrastructures in four ports: Funchal, Machico, Caniçal and Porto Santo.
The works include infrastructure inspection, review of the existing reports and of the available information regarding each port structure, topographic and hydrographic survey of the protection profiles and preparation of the final designs.
BUILDING LISBON WOOD, PORTUGAL
TPF Planege Cenor is maintaining the efforts to strength its portfolio in the building and urban regeneration field with the full renovation works in the building LISBON WOOD, located at Av. António Augusto de Aguiar, in Lisbon, for luxury homes.
The renovation works of this building, which has a floor area of approximately 4.000 m², distributed through 2 levels below ground storey, 1 ground level storey and 9 levels above ground storey, are characterised by the application of materials and equipment with high quality standards and breakthrough technologies.
The mission of our teams is the management and supervision of works and the on-site health and safety coordination. With a construction value of more than three million euros, it is expected that the works will be completed within 10 months.
URBAN PARK DE PRAÇA DE ESPANHA, PORTUGAL
TPF Planege Cenor was qualified to present a bid in the scope of the tender offer for the project design of Praça de Espanha Urban Park, promoted by Lisbon City Council.
Our team presented a design idea based on a mobility “network” concept with innovative solutions, demonstrating care with the articulation of pedestrian zones and bike lanes in the entire surrounding area, in some places through elevated structures.
The selected works will be in a public exhibition promoted by the Municipality of Lisbon during the last half of December.
EXTENSION AND RENOVATION OF THE HOSPITAL CUF DE TORRES VEDRAS, PORTUGAL
The Group José de Mello Saúde entrusted TPF Planege Cenor with the contract for the Supervision and Safety Coordination regarding the Extension and Renovation of the Hospital CUF de Torres Vedras.
The extension and renovation of the current hospital unit of Torres Vedras aims to provide the building of 3.100 m2 with new areas and to renovate specific areas.
With an estimated duration of 13 months, the mission of our team aims, in addition to the management and supervision of construction works, to support the Project Owner in the phases prior to the start of the works, namely with regard to design review, preparation of tender for the selection of the contractor, market consultation and assessment of the tenders.
CASTANHEIRA FLUVIAL WHARF, PORTUGAL
Companhia do Porto da Castanheira entrusted TPF Planege Cenor with the preparation of the Tender documents, analysis of the Proposals, Design review, Supervision and on-site Safety Coordination for the Fluvial Wharf that will be installed in Castanheira do Ribatejo, near the area intended for the Logistics Platform of North Lisbon.
The design, has a budget of around one million euros, consists in building a fluvial wharf of 23 meters long, supported by 20 piles and served by an electro-hydraulic crane, for a capacity of 300 containers and an estimated traffic for the year 2025 of more than 25 thousand containers.
A team of multidisciplinary technicians involving the disciplines of port work, geology and geotechnics, paving, drainage, among others, will develop our services.
