PORTO METRO – PINK LINE
Last May, TPF Consultores, in partnership with the Spanish subsidiary, received from Metro do Porto the contract for the Supervision of the construction of the Pink Line, between Praça da Liberdade and Casa da Música.
With a 3 km extension and a fully developed tunnel layout, this new transport infrastructure will significantly improve access to the central areas of the city of Porto, with consequent environmental and social benefits. The double-track line also includes 4 metro stations.
This is an important contract that will mobilize a multidisciplinary team, from the construction phase to entry into service, with high training and experience requirements in the various specialties involved in the construction.

CALHETA HYDROPOWER SCHEME
TPF is developing the Final Design of the hydromechanical equipment for the connection of the Compensation Chamber to the Coruchéu Regulating Reservoir / Calheta Reservoir, within the scope of the Calheta Hydroelectric Expansion Scheme, in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
This is the largest reversible hydropower scheme on Madeira Island that, in addition to increasing the production of clean and renewable energy, with consequent environmental benefits, will substantially reduce external dependence on energy, contributing to a sustainable and efficient use of resources and for the regional economy.
This project includes the construction of a dam at Pico da Urze, a Hydropower Plant called Calheta III, the Calheta Reservoir, the Calheta Pumping Station and other interventions necessary for the operation of this energy storage infrastructure and strategic water reserve.
TPF also provided Special Technical Assistance services for the construction works, which included the adaptation of the design to the real geological and geotechnical conditions encountered at the site.

REVITALISATION OF THE AITARAK LARAN COMMUNITY IN EAST TIMOR
The Government of East Timor, through the Ministry of Public Works and the DNE (National Directorate of Buildings), granted TPF the preparation of the Revitalization Project for the Aitarak Laran Community, in the northern part of the city of Dili.
With a 29 ha intervention area, this new contract includes the development of the Feasibility Studies, Final Design and Resettlement Action Plan for the population residing in the intervention area. It is intended not only to improve the quality of the urban environment, but also the socioeconomic conditions of the population.
The work will be developed by a multidisciplinary team of Portuguese and Timorese technicians, with qualifications in the fields of architecture and urban planning, socioeconomic development, environment, and law, among others.

COMPORTA LINKS AND COMPORTA DUNES
TPF was hired to develop the infrastructure designs for two major tourism and real estate projects in Portugal, Comporta Links and Comporta Dunes. These contracts aim to complete the urbanization works for these two projects, with areas of 365 ha and 551 ha, respectively.
Our teams are responsible for the final design and licensing of the general infrastructure, which includes the road network, the water supply system and the waste water drainage, WWTP, electricity and gas supply networks, telecommunications and landscaping.

ARADE ESTATE IN PORTIMÃO
TPF is developing the engineering designs of Arade Estate general infrastructures, located in Portimão.
With approximately 135 ha of area to urbanise, about 10% of the development’s total area, the studies will be developed by a multidisciplinary team integrating technicians from the different engineering branches.

HOVIONE’S NEW INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENT
The studies to be carried out are related to the Design Disciplines for the allotment and correspondent urbanization infrastructures to be implemented at Hovione's new industrial establishment site, in the allotment area called PIS III - Cucena, located in Seixal.
The new industrial unit, intended for pharmaceutical production, will be set up on a plot of approximately 587 800 m2. The design, which was developed with BIM methodology, takes into account the need to reduce energy and to use natural resources by adopting measures that are transversal to all phases of the intervention, from the design to the construction, maintenance and operation.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY OF THE CARREGADO PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER STATION
TPF is developing the Environmental Impact Study within the scope of the Carregado Photovoltaic Power Station design, in the municipality of Alenquer.
The study aims to assess the environmental impacts resulting from the implementation of this power station, with an estimated total power of approximately 50 MW. It is intended, in addition to defining measures that minimize and / or compensate for negative impacts, to improve positive impacts, in order to support decision making regarding the project’s implementation.

VISUAL INSPECTION OF ENGINEERING STRUCTURES ON THE A13 HIGHWAY OF THE SUB-CONCESSION OF PINHAL INTERIOR
Ascendi granted TPF the services for the Inspection of the Engineering Structures in the A13 and A13.1 highways of the Pinhal Interior sub-concession.
The works consist of visual inspection and registration of possible pathologies in 55 structural engineering works and special structures, using the SustIMS mobile platform developed by Ascendi, in cooperation with Universidade do Minho (University of Minho) and Universidade Nova de Lisboa (New University of Lisbon).
This is an innovative platform for the management of road infrastructures that integrates all information about the engineering structure, since its construction, through historical inspection records, representing a decision support tool capable of recommending the best maintenance, conservation and / or rehabilitation strategies in the management of road assets.
