Rehabilitation of the Storm Water Drainage System in the City of Beira - Phase 2, Mozambique
The consortium led by TPF was the successful tenderer for the Rehabilitation of the Design and Supervision of Rehabilitation Works of the Rainwater Drainage System in the City of Beira - Phase 2, in Mozambique. This important contract controlled by AIAS (Water Supply and Sanitation Infrastructure’s Administration) and funded by the World Bank, aims at improving the safety conditions against floods in central and eastern areas of the city by adapting the existing drainage infrastructures to the impacts arising from urban expansion and climatic changes.
A multidisciplinary team with a deep knowledge of the existing infrastructures and main entities involved will develop works, which are scheduled to last 48 months, founded on several studies and designs that we have been developing since 2012 in the city of Beira.
Sustainable Intermodal Line (LIOS) of the Municipalities of Lisbon, Oeiras and Loures - Light Rail Transit
TPF was the successful tenderer for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Studies of two railroad rights-of-way for light rail transit systems, namely LIOS Ocidental and LIOS Oriental in the municipalities of Lisbon, Oeiras and Loures, promoted by Metropolitano de Lisboa.
With an estimated investment of 490 million euros, project LIOS (Intermodal and sustainable line) covers 24,4 km of a new public transport service that will ensure the fast and structuring connection between the coastal areas of Lisbon, Oeiras and Loures and the main interfaces of Lisbon.
This new transport system will be divided into two lines: LIOS Ocidental and LIOS Oriental, which will link Oeiras to Alcântara over an extension of around 10 km, including 16 stops, and LIOS Oriental, which will link Santa Apolónia to Sacavém over an extension of around 15 km, including 25 stops.
Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Transaction Advisor for the Water Supply in Cabinda, Angola
The Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Energy and Water, contracted TPF, in Consortium, for the consultancy services of the Procurement of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Transaction Advisor for the Water Supply in Cabinda, in Angola.
Services include beyond the preparation of the Investment Plan and procedural and contractual documents, supporting the Project’s Management Committee during the analysis, negotiation and selection of the future private operator, as well as supporting the Government of Angola during the transition and implementation process of PPP.
Our team will work closely with the main stakeholders for at least 24 months, where training and knowledge transfer will be particularly important with a view to guarantee the sustainability of the PPP Project.
TPF participated in the Public Tender for the Design of the Bridge over Douro River
TPF Consultores/Artelia/Explorations Architecture consortium has participated in the Public Tender for the elaboration of the Detailed Design development of Douro Bridge and its accesses between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.Aware of the heritage, landscape, and environmental importance of the surrounding area, a deck-arch bridge without spandrel columns, in elegant and discreet shapes, was conceived.
Design for the Restructuring and Upgrading of Luvo Border Post, Angola
The Angolan Tax Administration entrusted TPF with the preparation of the Urban and Architectural Detailed Design for the Restructuring and Upgrading of Luvo Border Post, in Zaire Province, affiliated to this Tax Administration.
Located in the Northern part of Angola, close to Democratic Republic of the Congo border, the restructuring and upgrading of Luvo border post covers an area of approximately 137.000 m², with several functional areas and buildings that include a residential complex and several social and logistic equipment.
Design of OGMA's Future Motor Shop
OGMA entrusted TPF with the preparation of the Detailed Design for the motor Shop, phases 3, 4, 5 and 6, which will be built on its premises in Alverca do Ribatejo.
This is a particularly challenging contract from a technical and architectural point of view, since it is an intervention that focuses on three building at the aeronautical complex with a recognised equity value in the domain of modern industrial architecture, in addition to several technical particularities, such as rigorous climate conditions and total absence of dust that the spaces must have.
Our mission includes the Project Management, the preparation of Detailed Design, the Procurement and at a later stage, the control and supervision of construction works.
Rehabilitation Design of the regional road E.R. nº 3-2ª S. Jorge Island
TPF was the successful tenderer of the Rehabilitation Design of the road E.R. Nº 3-2ª in São Jorge Island, in Azores.
The studies, which are scheduled to last 5 months, cover a road section of approximately 13 km.
Visit of Thomas Spitaels, CEO of TPF Group
On the week of 27 September, we have received at our head office in Portugal the visit of Thomas Spitaels, CEO of TPF Group, and we have visited the works of the International South Corridor – Évora Line and Metro do Porto Pink Line, whose Supervision is ongoing.
Design of the road ER123
TPF is developing the recently awarded Detailed Designs of the road “ER123, Intersection with EN263 (km 3+400) and Intersection with ER266 (Luzianes-Gare) (km 21+590)”, in the municipality of Odemira, over an extension of approximately 18 km.
The main interventions concern the rehabilitation of the existing pavement, both in terms of recovering the structural quality and recovering the functionality of the wearing course, as well as in the rehabilitation of drainage systems and renovation of signalling and safety equipment.
Future House of Madeira Orchestra
TPF is the company responsible for the preparation of the Excavation, Retaining Structures and Escarpment Stability Design, in the land where the future Orchestra House will be built. This work was promoted by the Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Environmental Impact Assessment of Alqueva’s Hybrid Power Plant
TPF is Responsible for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment, regarding the Alqueva’s Hybrid Power Plant.
The Hybrid power plant will have an installed capacity of approximately 160 MW, which will be distributed between a wind component and another photovoltaic component.
Two sub-stations of 30/60 kV will also be built, one in the wind farm and another in the photovoltaic power station, and another sub-station of 60/400 kV, nearby the plant/sub-station of Alqueva’s hydro power scheme. Both wind and photovoltaic centres will be linked to 60 kV lines to the sub-station of 60/400 kV.
Design for New Cable Stayed Bridge Over the Becusse River, East Timor
TPF was awarded the design of a new cable stayed bridge over the Becusse River, in Dili, by the Timor Leste Ministry of Public Works through the National Directorate for Roads, Bridges and Flood Control.
The geometry of the new suspension bridge will contribute to the normal water drainage from the Becusse River, in order to reduce flood risk in a region that is constantly suffering by extreme natural phenomena.
This new contract will follow-up other studies developed by our teams in the scope of the improvement of Dili’s rainwater drainage system.
Studies and Designs of Reservoirs, in the scope of Water Supply for AdVT
TPF signed last October the contract for the Assessment/Review and Preparation of Studies and Designs of Reservoirs, in the scope of Water Supply for Águas do Vale do Tejo.
The provision of services foresee the assessment, review and preparation of studies and designs of reservoirs, mains and related bodies, with a capacity of up to 2000 m3, in the intervention area of Águas do Vale do Tejo.
Studies and designs were developed in the several disciplines, including the BIM methodology.
Road Safety Inspections to REDE 2021 - Lot II
TPF was awarded by Infraestruturas de Portugal, S.A. the inspection contract of Lot II, integrated in the scope of “Road Safety Inspections to REDE 2021”, which includes the road sections IC8, EN2 and EN358, in central Portugal.
Our teams are responsible for the assessment of safety conditions in operational roads, which are scheduled to last 6 months, and for the definition of efficient solutions that will allow detecting and reducing, preventively, the risk of accidents.
Supervision services of the Link from Jardim da Serra to Câmara de Lobos / Estreito de Câmara de Lobos expressway
TPF is responsible for the Supervision services of the “Link from Jardim da Serra to Câmara de Lobos / Estreito de Câmara de Lobos expressway”, in Madeira Island, promoted by the Regional Government, through Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure.
This work, which is scheduled to last 18 months, involves the construction of 3 tunnels, over a total extension of approximately 2600 m, linked by 3 roundabouts and 1 viaduct V1, 23 m long, in the link between tunnels 1 and 2, beyond several landscape interventions and road realignments enabling the replacement of existing roads.
