Inauguration of National Road N260: Chimoio-Espungabera, MOZAMBIQUE
On 24 July, National Road N260: Chimoio-Espungabera was inaugurated by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi. The construction of this National Road was monitored by a Portuguese-Mozambique consortium, led by TPF Planege. This work, with an extension of 230 km, is a vitally important infrastructure for the socio-economic development of the province of Manica and the neighbouring provinces of Tete and Sofala. The cost of the work was 154 million euros, funded by the Government with a significant Portuguese cooperative co-payment. The rehabilitation work consists of re-profiling, widening and paving the entire extension, constructing two new bridges over the Munhinga and Chizizira rivers, and widening of other bridges, plus the requalification of the border area with the Republic of Zimbabwe.
TPF Planege Was Selected as the External Control Entity in the Construction of the Hannacha/Berrouaghia Motorway, ALGERIA
In the context of the contract established between Agence Nationale de Autoroutes (Algeria) (ANA) and Condotte S.p.a., TPF Planege was entrusted with the services of carrying out external control in the construction of a section of motorway between Hannacha/Berrouaghi with an extension of approximately 33 km. According to the requirements established by the ANA, TPF Planege will verify the execution of all of the specialities and later, quality control of the work at the site, as established in the Quality Guaranty Plan, ensuring full compliance with the contractual quality requirements of this contract work.
Facility Management – A New Service Area in ANGOLA
TPF Angola, through its affiliate ProSistemas Angola, started working also in the area of Operation, Management and Maintenance of Infrastructures (Facility Management), supported by the know-how of the TPF GROUP, namely of TPF Utilities, which specialises in managing the maintenance and operation of electrical and mechanical facilities of either private or public buildings or public infrastructures such as Water and Sewage Treatment Stations.
Environmental Monitoring of the Foz Tua Hydroelectric Project, PORTUGAL
TPF Planege continues to take part in the environmental monitoring of the Foz Tua Hydroelectric Project, which is under the responsibility of EDP-Gestão da Produção de Energia, S.A. The work includes the implementation and execution of the Programmes of Monitoring of the Hydromineral Systems of Caldas de Carlão and São Lourenço, of Noise, Soil Use and Territorial Development, under the scope of the National Programme of Dams with High Hydroelectric Potential (including the results of the various studies on Biodiversity, Heritage and Assets and Sediment Transport), of Climate, Air Quality and Socio-economics. The works are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
